waterdamage2Do you have a mold problem?

Ask yourself a few questions first. Do you see any mold growing? If so, do not touch it or try to remove it. Pouring bleach on it will NOT remove the mold and may damage other contents within the structure.

Whatever variety of mold you have, if it is visible or giving off a musty odor, it needs to be remediated at once.

mold2Health Risks

There are a lot of health risks from mold exposure ranging in type and severity. Children, elderly and anyone who has a compromised immune system are the most prone to illness from mold exposure. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation ranks these conditions as the sixth leading cause of chronic disease in the U.S.
The presence of mold can cause:

It can also cause skin rashes, itching, welts, or hives; low-grade fever, nausea, digestive problems, dizziness, fatigue, lack of energy, memory loss, burning itchy eyes, sinus problems just to name a few.

moldOur Process

Thomas’ is trained to safely remove the mold and make sure your indoor air quality is not compromised. Our technicians will set up containment, monitor the air pressure, and set up engineering controls to make sure that the mold spores don’t travel to other non-effected areas. We remove the mold in compliance with the ANSI/IICRC S-520 Standard. After the mold is removed, an independent hygienist will come and take samples of the air and surfaces to make sure “Clearance”, or a healthy indoor environment, exists with normal fungal ecology and not an elevated spore count is present. NEVER USE A COMPANY THAT SAYS IT DOES THEIR OWN TESTING. Mold has become a buzz word in the news and on TV. There are a lot of scam artistS out there claiming to be mold professionals.

Please check the certification web site, IICRC.org, to help locate a professional. Ask good questions about their experience level and training. They should be able to provide you with good references from insurance companies and industrial hygienists.
