Memorial Day

Memorial Day is just around the corner, and to celebrate our fallen Heroes, many of us partake in outdoor activities like boating, bbq’ing, and road trips to recognize the freedoms and opportunities afforded U.S. citizens. Memorial Day’s conception however is a little less festive. This day of remembrance began after Americans realized the full scope of casualties from the Civil War and were seeking for a way to honor those that had made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, Memorial Day has grown to encompass all those who have have died in support of our Nation’s wars, conflicts, and military operations. At 3:00 on Monday, we will observe the National Moment of Remembrance in tribute to those who have served to the end. God Bless.
